This is awesome. It’s cool enough that he invented the thing instead of sitting around feeling sorry for himself, but even more amazing that he was able to resist temptation and not get a patent on it. Way to resist our psychotically selfish and commercialized culture. His momma did good.

Yes, she did! I am so impressed that his suffering has been turned into blessing and encouragement for so many others. It reminds me of one of my favorite scriptures: Psalm 126:5, “They that sow in tears shall reap in songs of joy.” That’s redemption. I am always glad to see that. It takes courage, strength, character and humility to make it there. Thanks for your thoughts!
